Terlepas dari pandemi Covid-19, kemajuan dalam vaksinasi telah memungkinkan keterbukaan sosial-ekonomi dan meningkatkan permintaan konsumen untuk sebagian besar komoditas, termasuk kakao. Sumber dari ICCO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Pada saat yang sama, harga kakao tidak mengalami tekanan karena kelebihan pasokan dan persediaan yang cukup banyak selama setahun terakhir, yang memungkinkan merek-merek cokelat untuk mengendalikan biaya dan meningkatkan aktivitas pengolahan kakao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meningkatnya Permintaan Penggilingan Kakao<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Permintaan penggilingan kakao Eropa pada kuartal keempat tahun 2021 meningkat sebesar 6,3% tahun ke tahun menjadi 365.826 ton, menurut data asosiasi kakao regional. Permintaan penggilingan kakao di Asia meningkat sebesar 6,3% tahun ke tahun menjadi 231.309 ton. Namun, permintaan penggilingan kakao di Amerika Serikat sedikit menurun sebesar 1,2% menjadi 116.614 ton, tetapi perlu dicatat bahwa jumlah pabrik penggilingan kakao di Amerika Serikat menurun dari 17 menjadi 16. Belum diketahui apakah satu-satunya alasan penurunan data permintaan penggilingan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tren Produksi Kakao di Pantai Gading dan Ghana Berlawanan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Berlawanan dengan peningkatan permintaan penggilingan kakao yang nyata, kinerja produksi kakao relatif sederhana. Produksi kakao di Pantai Gading, produsen kakao terbesar di dunia, telah melampaui tingkat periode yang sama tahun lalu. Produksi kakao per 30 Januari mencapai 1,34 juta ton, naik 1,51% dari 1,32 juta ton pada periode yang sama tahun lalu. Tetapi kabar buruknya adalah cuaca yang lebih kering di daerah-daerah penghasil kakao dapat mengurangi kelembaban tanah yang baik, sehingga menimbulkan kekhawatiran mengenai hasil panen dan kualitas tanaman yang dijadwalkan untuk musim ini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sementara itu, produksi kakao Ghana di tahun baru ini tidak terlalu optimis. Pada 6 Januari, produksi kakao negara ini turun tajam sebesar 53,9% menjadi 263.000 ton dari 570.000 ton pada tahun lalu. Alasan utama penurunan tajam produksi kakao di negara ini adalah gangguan lalu lintas di wilayah Ashanti, wilayah penghasil kakao terbesar kedua.
